Nag sampa ng criminal case ang Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc (KSMBPI) laban sa It's Showtime hosts at real life couple na sina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez. Isinampa ang reklamo sa Quezon City Prosecutor's office nung Lunes, September 11, 2023. Ayon sa ulat ang kasong isinampa ng organisasyon ay may kinalaman sa violation of article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, which is related to section 6 of Article 201 and Republic Act of 2012. Sa ilalim ng Philippine law, Article 201 penalizes "immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibitions, and indecent shows. Ang nasabing reklamo ay napabalitang may kinalaman diumano sa viral cake-icing-eating na naganap sa programang It's Showtime sa pagitan nina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez habang umeere ang kanilang segment na "Isip Bata". Samantala, nauna ng naglabas ng 12-day suspension ang MTRCB sa pag ere ng programa sa telebisyon patungkol sa isyu ng viral cake-icing-eating.
